About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Functional Consultant - Supply Chain Management to lead end‑to‑end delivery across Procure‑to‑Pay, Order‑to‑Cash, Plan‑to‑Produce, and Warehouse‑to‑Ship processes. You will run discovery, design, configuration, testing, and user adoption while partnering with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high‑performance SCM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Discovery & Process Design

• Lead workshops to capture requirements across Product Information Management, Inventory, Procurement & Sourcing, Sales Order Management, Warehouse Management (WMS), Transportation Management (TMS), Master Planning (MRP/Planning Optimization), Quality, Returns/Reverse Logistics.

• Conduct fit‑gap analysis, map AS‑IS/TO‑BE processes, and produce solution blueprints and BPM artifacts in LCS.

• Define process KPIs and non‑functional requirements (throughput, peak volumes, batch/performance windows, label/print demands).

Solution Design & Configuration

• Configure core SCM modules: Product Information Management, Inventory Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Sales & Marketing (Sales), Warehouse Management (Advanced WHS), Transportation Management, and Master Planning.

• Design master data and reference structures: item model groups, storage/tracking dimension groups, units & conversions, calendars, and intercompany flows.

Integrations, Data & Reporting

• Define integration patterns for 3PLs, carriers, EDI (X12/EDIFACT), label printers (ZPL), scanners, and e‑commerce/OM systems.

• Own data migration strategy using DMF/Data entities (items, released products, variants, BOMs, routes, vendors/customers, trade agreements, warehouses & locations, on‑hand, open POs/SOs/transfer/production orders).

• Collaborate on Power Platform automations (approvals, alerts) and build operational dashboards in Power BI (inventory accuracy, OTIF, order cycle time).

Testing & Quality

• Create and execute SIT/UAT scenarios and acceptance criteria; manage defects via Azure DevOps.

• Establish RSAT suites for regression and evergreen update cycles.

• Validate performance (e.g., wave processing, allocation, label printing, posting) and security (warehouse worker/mobile roles).

Cutover, Go‑Live & Support

• Lead cutover planning and rehearsals: on‑hand initialization, open transactions (PO/SO/transfer/production), label packs, and carrier onboarding.

• Drive hypercare stabilization, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement; deliver SOPs, training, and knowledge transfer.

Governance & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain end‑to‑end traceability from requirements → design → build → test → deploy in LCS and Azure DevOps.

• Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and mitigations to sponsors and cross‑functional leadership.

• Champion release management and feature management for SCM updates.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 7–10 years of Supply Chain/ERP consulting, including 7+ years on D365 F&O (or AX 2012) logistics/SCM modules.

• 2–3+ end‑to‑end implementations (design through hypercare) and multiple enhancement/support projects.

• Deep hands‑on configuration in Inventory, Procurement, Sales, Warehouse Management (Advanced WHS), Master Planning; exposure to Transportation and Quality.

• Proven ability to design scalable warehouse processes: put‑away/picking strategies, waves, work, packing, containerization, and cycle counting.

• Experience with high‑volume operations: ASN/EDI, label printing, scanner workflows, and performance tuning of warehouse jobs.

• Strong documentation skills (BRD/FRD/FDD, test scripts, training artifacts) and stakeholder facilitation.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Microsoft certifications: MB‑300 (Core), MB‑330 (SCM).

• Industry experience in distribution/wholesale, e‑commerce/retail, manufacturing (discrete/process), 3PL.

• Familiarity with Planning Optimization, Demand Forecasting, Intercompany supply chains, Drop‑shipments, Direct delivery, and Consignment.

• Integration exposure to carriers and 3PLs, barcode/GS1, WMS/TMS ISVs, print management for labels and documents.

• Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate for approvals/alerts; Power Apps for lightweight warehouse apps).

• Understanding of extension‑based customizations, performance considerations, and collaboration with technical teams (X++, integrations).
