Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned D365 F&O Finance Functional Consultant to lead end-to-end application support for Finance, drive service stability, and partner with business stakeholders on continuous improvement. You will own complex incidents and problems, steward change and release processes, guide junior analysts, and ensure regulatory and audit readiness. The ideal candidate blends deep Finance process expertise with hands-on experience in LCS, Azure DevOps, Data Management, ER, RSAT, and service update governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Incident & Problem Ownership: Lead triage and resolution of complex Finance issues across GL, AP, AR, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Tax, and Credit & Collections; perform thorough RCA, document known errors, and implement preventive controls.

• Finance Process Expertise: Support month/quarter/year-end close, intercompany, currency revaluation, consolidations, budgeting, settlement, payment proposals, electronic payments, and asset lifecycle.

• Configuration & Controls: Govern safe configuration changes (ledger/posting profiles, dimensions/COA, payment formats, workflows, number sequences) under SoD, audit, and change-control policies.

• Data Management: Oversee DMF/Data Entities for controlled corrections, mass updates, and interfaces; ensure data lineage, reconciliation, and compliance (e.g., SOX/GDPR as applicable).

• Reporting & Analytics: Build/maintain ER formats (bank files, statutory outputs); collaborate on SSRS changes; advise on Finance datasets and KPIs for Power BI.

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Define regression strategy and test packs; design/execute RSAT; coordinate UAT, sign-offs, and hypercare; validate Microsoft service updates/ISV patches and manage breaking-change impact.

• Integrations & Operations: Monitor batch jobs, BYOD, recurring data projects, and middleware interfaces; drive recovery/reprocessing and coordinate with technical teams on fixes.

• Security & Audit: Maintain role-based security and SoD checks; prepare audit evidence, support walkthroughs, and strengthen application controls.

• Release & Environment Management: Plan deployments via LCS, manage refreshes, hotfixes, code promotion, and cutovers; run CAB reviews and post-implementation reviews (PIR).

• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Act as functional SME with Finance leaders; manage Microsoft support tickets and ISV vendors to closure with clear timelines and status reporting.

• Knowledge & Leadership: Author SOPs/KBs/release notes; mentor L1/L2 analysts; promote best practices and automation (alerts, templates, Power Automate where relevant).

• Continuous Improvement: Identify process and system enhancements, reduce operational toil, and uplift monitoring/telemetry for proactive stability.

Qualifications & Skills

• 7+ years in ERP Finance, including 5+ years on D365 F&O/AX in production support.

• Strong command of GL, AP, AR, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Tax (VAT/GST), multi-company, multicurrency, consolidations, and period close.

• Hands-on with LCS, Azure DevOps, Data Management (DMF), Electronic Reporting (ER), RSAT; familiarity with Power BI and basic SQL/X++ concepts for troubleshooting.

• Solid grasp of ITIL (incident/problem/change), SLA governance, CAB/PIR, and release calendars.

• Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management; proven ability to lead cross-functional troubleshooting.

• Certifications: MB-300 required; MB-310 strongly preferred (MB-330/MB-500 a plus).

Nice to Have

• Localization experience (e.g., GST/e-invoicing/WHT, SAF-T, SEPA, NACHA).

• Treasury, Project Accounting, Expense, Credit & Collections strategies, and Banking integrations.

Automation via Power Platform; experience in shared services/multi-entity environments
