Tibco Scribe Agents:
An Agent is required to communicate with both your source and target data. It provides secure communication between Source and Target systems/database.
There are two types of Agents:
1. On-Premises Agent:
This Agent is installed on a computer at your site. You can install multiple On-Premises Agent Agents on a single computer. The On-Premises Agent can be used in Solutions with any Connection and with both cloud and local datastores. On premises agent is mainly used when one of the system/databases is local or on-premises.
Ex. SQL server database
2. Cloud Agent:
This Agent resides in the cloud in the data center associated with your organization. Only one Cloud Agent can be provisioned per Organization. The Cloud Agent can only be used when all Connections in a Solution and associated datastores support the Cloud Agent. In other words when both the systems are on cloud.
Examples:

Connections:
A Connector is a piece of software used to move data between specific applications using those applications’ APIs.
For example, the Dynamics Connector connects to the Dynamics API to read and write data. The connection holds the credentials required for the Connector to interact with the Dynamics API.
A Connection encompasses the setup, comprising login details and additional parameters, essential for linking with any data store utilized by TIBCO Cloud™ Integration – Connect.
On the Connections page, you can access your existing Connections, establish new ones, adjust settings for current Connections, eliminate unused Connections from TIBCO Cloud™ Integration – Connect, and reset metadata.
Connections Page:
The Connections page displays the following information about each of the configured Connections for this Organization:

Connect Apps:
An app comprises a collection of configuration preferences specified by the user, which TIBCO Cloud™ Integration – Connect utilizes to execute a particular task, such as replicating or integrating entities or fields from a source datastore to a target datastore.
Apps contain an agent, mapping instructions, and connection information. These objects function in concert to move data from one datastore to another. Each app type provides different functionality and options.
There are three types of apps:
1. On schedule apps: Integrate data from one data source into one or more target data sources. On schedule apps use flows, filters, and formulas to manipulate data as it moves from one data source to another. See Requirements and On Schedule Apps for additional information.
2. On event apps: Create integration tasks triggered by inbound calls to the TIBCO Cloud™ Integration – Connect API web service.
3. Data replication apps: Copy data from one data source to another. You can replicate all entities, recommended entities, or selected entities. See Requirements and Data Replication Apps for additional information.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, TIBCO Cloud™ Integration – Connect offers a comprehensive range of functionalities through its scheduled, event-driven, and data replication apps. These apps empower users to seamlessly integrate and replicate data between various sources and targets, leveraging flexible configurations and robust capabilities such as flows, filters, and formulas. By providing detailed requirements and insights into each app type, TIBCO Cloud™ Integration – Connect ensures efficiency and effectiveness in data management and integration tasks, catering to diverse user needs and scenarios.
